Nokia N71: PIN/Lock Code.

This article provides information about PIN/Lock Code of your Nokia N71 PC Suite.

Note:  Call your Service Provider if you forget any of these codes.

Personal Identification Number (PIN) Code:
This code safeguards your SIM card against unauthorized use. The PIN Code (4 to 8 digits) is usually supplied with the SIM card.

After three consecutive incorrect PIN Code entries, the card is blocked and you need the PUK Code to unblock it.

UPIN Code:
This code may be given to you with the USIM card. The USIM card is an advanced variant of the SIM card and is supported by UMTS mobile instruments.

PIN2 code:
This code (4 to 8 digits) is supplied with some SIM cards. You need it to use some functions in your device.

Lock Code (also known as Security Code):
This code (5 digits) is used to lock the device to prevent unwarranted use. The default setting for the lock code is 12345.
Change the Lock Code
to protect your device from being operated by strangers. Coin a secret code and store it in a safe place.
