I need help to set up Ports on my D-Link Di-524.
This article helps you in streaming a webcam through your Router
A rule needs to be created to allow your webcam (iVISTA) through the firewall of your router.
Here's how it can be done!
Log on to the router by typing the IP address on the web browser (default 192.168.0.1) and enter the user name/password (default for DI-524 admin with no password).
Give the exact internal IP Address where iVista is setup and by this way only one computer is open to access from the outside and It would be better not to use * when setting the destination of the connection.
Most cable/DSL service providers dont allow others to connect to your port 80 on their user connections. Turn on your logging for denied packets and have the logs sent to you at work or some other easily accessible account. They will fill up quickly on the DI-524.
Fortunately, iVista has some security, but most hackers are most likely see a default header with iVista and will hack at it if they know how to exploit it.
