How do I clean up the Zen Micro hard disk drive?
Cleaning up of the hard disk drive ensures that the player works efficiently and to the optimum level. It also reorganizes Music Library.
Note: Save a copy of Zen Micro’s content before cleaning up your player.
Just follow these steps.
You need to first turn off Zen Micro.
Slide open the battery cover and remove the battery.
Slide the power switch towards the power icon and make sure you hold it there while reinserting the battery.
Zen Micro will turn on and ‘Recovery Mode’ screen appears.
There will be four menu items here: CleanUp, Format All, Reload Firmware and Reboot.
Select Clean Up and when done, select Reboot.
Your player will restart and rebuild the Music Library.

Note: Don’t select Format All as this will clear Zen Micro's memory and erase all hard disk content. Save a copy of your player's content before formatting your player.
Selecting Reload Firmware will erase your player's firmware.
Don’t select the Reload Firmware unless you have downloaded a newer firmware version for Zen Micro, or have been advised to do so by the Creative Customer Services center.
