Connection pauses when using WGT624 wireless (Version 3)
Is your connection on wireless slow? We have a solution for it in this article!
Symptom
When browsing the net thru wireless the page says "Website found. Waiting for reply" takes a long time and the page loads. It is not same with the Netgear wired.
Solution
If you're using Internet Explorer, then try the following
- Click Tools > Internet Options.
- Click on the "Connections" Tab.
- Clock on "LAN settings"
- Uncheck the box next to "Automatically detect settings"
The other thing to check is your MTU. Make sure it's 1492 for DSL connections.
Update the firmware of your router and the adapter thru admin web page. you might face problems updating sometimes just unplug and plug the power cable and reset it. That should do the trick.
