RP614 (Version 2) is constantly getting disconnected
This article helps you in fixing disconnection problems on your router
Symptom
When connecting internet with PC without router, it works fine but when the connection is on with a router, it is getting disconnected once in every 4hrs. When router is rebooted, it works fine for 4hrs and again it gets disconnected. sometimes, windows cannot detect any problem, neither can repair it. It said the IP cannot be renewed when repairing.
Solution
1. Check the firmware version you are using.
2. Your router's web interface setup page under Router status will tell you what firmware you are running.
3. Then Click on the link http://kbserver.netgear.com/release_notes/D102571.asp
4. There you will find a link to the latest firmware (firmware 6.0).
5. The page will say the firmware is only for V3 but if you look at the name of the download after you click on download, it says it's for the V2 and V3 models.
This should take care of the problem.
