D-Link Router constantly gets locked up.

This article helps you to troubleshoot your router lockup problem

Try these steps to prevent your router from getting locked up.

1. If there is a lot of traffic the router may get locked.  To fix this, disable any broadcast protocols or the protocols which are not in use such as NetBEUI or IPX/SPX.

2. UPnP can be disabled if it's not being used on both your computer and on the router.

3. Check the log on the router, check the settings and uncheck some of the items that the router is reporting.

4. If the router log is showing a large volume of traffic, and if it is coming from a particular IP address, you might want to IP Filter it to block the user.

5. Check the Virtual Server and firewall settings on the router.

6. Upgrade your firmware and if you already have a latest version, try reinstalling it again.

7. Reset your router and configure it again.

If you still have problems with it, then contact D-Link support.
