Will Nintendo DS play old gameboy games as well as GBA games?

Unfortunately, you cannot play old gameboy games in DS.

Sorry Unfortunately! It can only play GameBoy Advance titles, since it has an ARM9 and ARM7 processor inside. This means you cannot play old gameboy games in DS.
