My Internet Explorer (browser) has suddenly slowed down.
This article tells you what to do if your browser slows down to a crawl.
When the browser’s cache gets too full it can slow Internet Explorer down.
Try the following steps :
1. Launch Internet Explorer
2. Click on ‘Tools’
3. Select ‘Internet Options’
4. Click on ‘Delete Cookies’, and ‘OK’ in the confirmation box.
5. Click on ‘Delete Files’, put a check mark for ‘Delete all offline content’ in the confirmation box and click on ‘OK’
6. Close and relaunch Internet Explorer
Turn off your PC and modem (by cutting off the power supply) for 30 seconds and restart your modem. Wait for the lights to go steady and turn on your PC.
If there is no significant improvement in the speed of your broadband connection, contact your provider and have them reset the port and / or troubleshoot for slow-speed issues. Alternately, if all else fails, switch to another browser like Firefox (www.getfirefox.com)
All the best!
